Who Sees Color?

It is sad that the hype surrounding Super Bowl XLI has anything to do with race. The media’s celebration of "the first Super Bowl coached by two African-Americans" is shameful and it also points out the fact that the only folks who see color are the folks who claim that America has a race problem. The rest of us just offer our congratulations for their success and leave color out of it. (Do they deserve more congratulations because they're black? Hmmm...)

Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy each had marvelous achievements this year as professional football coaches, but the media is reducing those achievements to "those black guys sure were successful." Rather, the point should be made that Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy reached the pinnacle of the football coaching world this year. Period. Who cares that they’re black? Not XEKE.com.

As for the game, Indy 31-Chicago 17 (two non-offensive touchdowns).
