VICTORY FOR LIFE: SCOTUS DEFENDS BAN ON PBA In a glorious 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court of the United States defended a ban on partial birth abortion. President Clinton arrogantly vetoed a partial birth abortion ban not once, but twice in his eight year embarrassing reign. President Bush honorably signed this obviously much needed piece of legislation into law, but it was overturned by liberal courts. Today, with a Conservative leaning Supreme Court, led by Bush appointees Roberts and Alito, common sense prevailed, and the viscous, cruel, inhumane, and savage procedure known as partial birth abortion is now illegal.
To make the fact clear and easy to understand, without being too gruesome, partial birth abortion literally allowed a woman to decide to savagely and legally murder her unborn child if as little as a hand was still left undelivered? Basically, up to the time that the baby was completely and totally delivered, a woman could decide to abort her innocent child. The doctor would crush the skull of the living, breathing, beautiful baby, and suck out the brain of the baby with a vacuum like suction. Disgusted? Outraged? So are the liberal presidential candidates- but they are outraged that this procedure is no longer legal. Here are quotes from the leading liberal presidential candidates: Barack Obama "I strongly disagree with today's Supreme Court ruling, which dramatically departs from previous precedents safeguarding the health of pregnant women. As Justice Ginsburg emphasized in her dissenting opinion, this ruling signals an alarming willingness on the part of the conservative majority to disregard its prior rulings respecting a woman's medical concerns and the very personal decisions between a doctor and patient. I am extremely concerned that this ruling will embolden state legislatures to enact further measures to restrict a woman's right to choose, and that the conservative Supreme Court justices will look for other opportunities to erode Roe v. Wade, which is established federal law and a matter of equal rights for women." Hillary Clinton "This decision marks a dramatic departure from four decades of Supreme Court rulings that upheld a woman's right to choose and recognized the importance of women's health. Today's decision blatantly defies the Court's recent decision in 2000 striking down a state partial-birth abortion law because of its failure to provide an exception for the health of the mother. As the Supreme Court recognized in Roe v. Wade in 1973, this issue is complex and highly personal; the rights and lives of women must be taken into account. It is precisely this erosion of our constitutional rights that I warned against when I opposed the nominations of Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito." John Edwards
All three of the leading candidates for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination said the same thing. They blamed Conservatives for saving the lives of innocent babies. That’s right they blamed us for not allowing the slaughter of late term, partial birth abortions- guilty as charged. All three hid behind the tired and play liberal red herring of “protecting a woman’s right to chose” and “interfering with a private decision between a patient and her doctor.” A doctor could not advise and assist a patient to kill themselves, and they should absolutely not be given permission to advise a woman to abort her baby that has already been partially delivered. If Obama, Hillary, and John Edwards think that defending partial birth abortion will garner them votes and support in 2008, they are dead wrong. Obama, Hillary, Edwards, and any Democratic politician seeking election or re-election would be best advised to get as far away from this issue (unless speaking out against late term and/or partial birth abortion), because mainstream America, by a vast and overwhelming majority, opposes late term and partial birth abortion. Listen to what the leftists are saying- none of them would support a partial birth abortion ban. That is why the election of 2008 is so important. Rudy, Romney, and McCain all support this vital Supreme Court decision. Rudy, Romney, and McCain have all been accused of not being Conservative enough (by XEKE.com and others), but it is extremely important to understand that if elected, they will promote, nominate, and support Conservative Supreme Court justices. A couple of more replacements on the bench with rationally thinking justices could drastically shift the future of America. |
