I LOVE JESUS
(and I AM NOT AFRAID TO SAY IT)

One thing that I do not understand about our society is how some people become so uncomfortable around those of us who love Jesus. We are called Jesus Freaks, the Religious Right, etc. Personally, I am Catholic, and I have been Catholic for most of my adult life. I have served on Parish Council and I am a Third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus at Immaculate Heart of Mary, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Our webmaster, Ryan, is a devout Christian, who is very active in the LifeANSWERS Adult Bible Fellowship at the Hudson Community Chapel, in Hudson, Ohio. We are both proud to call ourselves servants of Christ, and we both are blessed to have the love of Jesus in our hearts. In today's society, with the MTV generation, a secular progressive liberal media, the ACLU, etc., Christians are portrayed as being narrow minded, bigoted, hateful, and confused.

I talk to Jesus every day through prayer and thought. I thank Him every day for my beautiful wife, Kristen, my beautiful baby boy, John, for continued health and happiness for all, and for His strength, hope, and love. As a Compassionate Christian Conservative, I pray daily not only for my brothers in Christ, but also for those who are lost, misguided, and who have not found the love of Christ.
I cannot simply turn my love for Jesus on and off.

XEKE.com offers Conservative political commentary and analysis that we hope will help to advance a Christian Conservative agenda. We are Christians first, Conservatives second. The reason that we are Conservative is that our ideals, values, and morals (pro life, defense of traditional marriage, school vouchers that allow for school prayer, etc.) are shared by the Conservative wing of the Republican Party. We support President Bush (even though his public opinion numbers are low), because he has greatly supported Christian policy and ideals. President Bush single handedly shifted the balance of power of the Supreme Court to the "right," and that will hopefully lead to a decrease in the number of abortions in America. President Bush has also vetoed embryonic stem cell research, which is another pro-life, pro Christian victory. Almost equally as important is that, much like XEKE.com, President Bush is an unabashed Christian. The media and his political enemies ridicule him for his strong Christian faith. If you listen to the Democratic debates, all of the potential nominees criticize Bush for allowing his Faith to guide his political decisions. They have all claimed to be Christians, but have vehemently denied that they would ever allow God to "get in the way" of their political agenda. I do not want to cast doubts on anyone else's religious views, or question the Democratic Presidential hopefuls on their own faith in Christ, but on a personal level, I cannot simply turn my love for Jesus on and off. Everything I do, every day, is based around Christ. I could not be a politician if it meant that I could only be a Christian at Church on Sunday, but while running the country I had to hide my love for Christ.

In short, Ryan and I are both very proud of our relationship with Christ. As a Catholic and a Protestant, we are both brothers in Christ. We are both Conservatives and are rooted deeply in our faith, values, and morals, and we receive those values from God. When we say that XEKE.com is Pro God, Pro Life, Pro Family, Pro America, etc., it is not just a catch-phrase, it is our way of life. God Bless.
