More-on Human Rights
Late March 2007

Once again, human rights organizations have been exposed for the anti-American/anti-capitalist fronts that they are. We're always hearing from them that the United States is torturing their prisoners of war at Guantanamo Bay or in Iraq or (fill in the blank) around the world. XEKE.com has commented on this before, but with the recent developments with the British Marines taken hostage by the Iranians, now is the perfect time for Amnesty International and the rest of their buddies around the world and web to stand up against Islamic human rights violations.

A visit to Amnesty International and to Human Rights Watch were fruitless when trying to find a story about prisoner abuse, coersion, torture, dressing detainees in costumes, exploitation of hostages or Geneva Conventions violations by the Iranian regime. The Council on Foreign Relations made only passing reference to the story as part of a broader report saying the "confrontation between Iran and predominantly Western states further intensified (al-Jazeera) this week with the start of intensive U.S. Navy maneuvers in the Persian Gulf." Is it obvious to just XEKE that these folks are missing the point?

Let's face it: more credible sources than not have maintained that the British Marines were captured in Iraqi waters, not Iranian waters. Sure this flies in the face of the Iranian story, but consider the source. These guys also simultaneously talk about an expanded, peacful nuclear energy program AND about wiping Israel from the planet. And regardless, this isn't the move that a stable, peaceful government makes when it is trying to convince the world that it is just a warm and fuzzy government.

Videos have been shown of some of the hostages "apologizing" and admitting to being captured in forbidden waters. This, in and of itself, is a violation of the Geneva Conventions, but you don't hear the human rights crowd protesting the Iranian government. "Obviously we trespassed into their waters," Faye Turney (of the Royal Navy) said at one point. "They were very friendly and very hospitable, very thoughtful, nice people. They explained to us why we've been arrested. There was no harm, no aggression."

If they're so friendly and hospitable, why don't the release the hostages? And why does the human rights crowd take these Islamic fanatics at their word and question every syllable out of a (Conservative) Westerner's mouth? But if the human rights crowd were really interested in promoting human rights and ending oppression, they'd start with the religious persecution that happens to Christians at the hands of Muslims EVERY DAY all around the world.

When is the rest of the world going to wise up and recognize these human rights hypocrites for the America-haters that they are?
