H.I.C.K.S. BUSINESS MODEL For those of you who do not know, I recently started my own financial services company, Myers Financial Services, in my hometown of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. After a successful career working in the industry working for others, I decided to start my own company. When I was in the decision making process of planning and starting my own business, I thought about myself, my family, my life (personal and professional), and I thought about XEKE.com. I thought about what I believe it takes to be successful in life. I thought about what it takes to have a successful family, what makes a successful politician, and what it would take to make a successful financial services company. After months of planning, research, prayer, and soul searching, I developed the H.I.C.K.S Model.
The H.I.C.K.S. model: Honesty Integrity Character Knowledge Sincerity, are the five basic elements that lead to personal and professional success. The HICKS Model must have a solid foundation based on the Word of Christ. As I was researching what it would take to make Myers Financial Services stand out from other, larger, better known financial services, I analyzed other organizations, and I realized that success (personal and/or professional) is made up of the elements of the HICKS Model. With honesty, integrity, character, knowledge, and sincerity, clients will truly be in the best position to make an intelligent financial decision that will affect their family finances for their lifetime. Using the HICKS Model, with a solid foundation of the Word of Christ, anyone truly can do anything. I believe that XEKE.com has had the nationwide success that we have had, with virtually no operating expenses, because we unwittingly followed the HICKS Model. Dr. Ryan and I both pride ourselves on our love of Christ, and we developed XEKE.com with honesty, integrity, character, knowledge, and sincerity. I hope that our commentary and analysis proves that we follow the HICKS Model, and we will continue to follow the HICKS Model as we grow XEKE.com in the future. I will write about the HICKS model more in the future, but it is a simple business model, that can also be used as a life model. The best way to a happy marriage, a happy family, success at the workplace, success in politics: the best way to find personal fulfillment and satisfaction is to follow the HICKS Model.
