GREENER THAN GORE

I like to think that XEKE.com personifies the American Conservative Party. XEKE.com is proud to be Pro God, Pro Life, Pro Family, Pro Military, Pro 2nd Amendment, Pro Science, and Pro Capitalism, but did you know that XEKE.com is also "greener" than Al Gore? Guess what... you may be "greener" than Gore as well, and you don't even know it.

If you look in my driveway you will see a Chevy Trailblazer, Chevy Express conversion van, a Dutchmen travel trailer, and at times, you will see my 21 foot boat. As you can see, I love my toys, and my toys love gas. If you think that my toys are gas guzzlers, you have not met Al Gore. Al Gore invented the Internet, and he created (the mythical) man made global warming. He damns anyone who does not drive a hoyty-toyty Toyota Prius (or any other hybrid), yet he jetsets the entire globe pimping out the lies of man made global warming. He flies to every continent, week after week, month after month, every year, creating a mammoth "carbon footprint," yet I should sell my SUV, van, boat, and travel trailer, so that I can try to cram my 6'8" 250 pound body into a teeny tiny death-trap on wheels (Prius).

These ideas are not "green" ideas, these are...common sense, practical ideas that [we] have used for decades.

Even though I do love my big toys, and my big toys love gas, according to the water downed "go-green" lifestyle guidelines, we are ALL green. The new "green" lifestyle guidelines include setting your thermostat to 68 degrees, buying goods on eBay/Craigslist/garage sales, hanging up clothes to dry, using cold water to wash your laundry, buying produce at the local farmer's market, etc. These ideas are not "green" ideas, these are middle class, common sense, practical ideas that working class stiffs, who live paycheck to paycheck have used for decades. If buying second hand goods at garage sales (eBay/Craigslist), turning down the thermostat, hanging up laundry to dry, and buying produce from local farmers is "green," then I was green before Gore, and I am certainly greener than Gore. One of the tactics that the environmentalists use is to attempt to mainstream green initiatives. I was brought up shopping at garage sales (before eBay/Craigslist). I was brought up in a cold house, because we were not allowed to turn the heat up. I grew up washing clothes on cold, and hanging up our laundry. I grew up buying our produce from local farmers. We did not do these things because we wanted to save the world from "global warming." We did these things because we were not wealthy, we did not have money, and we did everything we could to cut costs.

The environmentalists are so desperate to mainstream the lies of global warming, that they are frantically trying to convince Americans that they are green, when the fact is that very few Americans are concerned with "global warming." Al Gore has spent the past half a dozen years trying to dupe Americans into buying into the fallacy of man made global warming. He won an Oscar, he won the Noble Peace Prize, he has profited hundreds of millions of dollars on the lies of global warming, and still, very few Americans are concerned about "global warming."

I have to say that things are going pretty well for my family. I am the President of Myers Financial Resources, LLC, I co-own www.XEKE.com, LLC; I have a good job; a beautiful wife and son; and great friends. I work hard, and I enjoy playing with my gas guzzling toys. My "new" Trailblazer is a 2005, my van is 12 years old, my boat is 20 years old, and my travel trailer is 10 years old. I still buy goods at garage sales, eBay, Craigslist, etc. I still buy produce from local farmers. I still set my thermostat to 68 degrees. I still wash my clothes on cold, and I still hang up some of my laundry to dry. Do I do these things, because I am "green?" No! I live the lifestyle that I do because it is inexpensive and I save money. In fact, other than the fact that every light bulb in my house is a CFL (compact fluorescent lightbulb) - because I was an Analyst at the world's largest manufacturer of CFLs and I received scores of free CFLs, I do not do anything in my every day life that is "green." That being said, the fact that I live in a modest house and my electric bill is probably 1/50th of Al Gore's mansion in Tennessee (one of his many homes), and the fact that I do not jet set across the globe to pimp out the lies of global warming, by default makes me "greener" than Gore.
