NOT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD A week ago, a friend of mine and I attended a Pro-Kerry meeting. We went to research for the website, I was assured there would be plenty of negative, misguided talk about President Bush. After a 10 minute video about John Kerry, Brad Lipton, Party Organizer for Northeast Ohio, introduced himself to the group and then opened the meeting to questions and comments. He called upon the two of us right off the bat. We were honest, and told him that we are Conservatives, we told him about xeke.com, and we told him we were Pro-Bush. Eyes popped, jaws dropped, and a gathering of merely a dozen un-informed, narrow minded Kerry supporters began their onslaught. First of all, Brad Lipton claimed that President Bush's top three priorities were "tax cuts for the wealthy, tax cuts for the wealthy, and tax cuts for the wealthy." I did not question him too much, I wanted Brad and the rest of the liberals in attendance to burry themselves, but I did remind them that President Bush did lead a coalition against the war on terror, but they were not concerned about that. I will list more comments made by Mr. Lipton as well as the others gathered in this "rally" for Kerry. Most of the dialog was directed at my friend and me. Instead of staying focused on their candidate, Kerry, they chose to be negative towards the two of us, and against President Bush. "Bush is a bullshitter and a fraud." "One of the most scandalous actions in U.S. history most fraudulent war in U.S. history..." "Not just fraudulent, but impeachable." "Crimes against humanity." They claimed that 90% of Americans are willing to pay more money for added environmental costs. Numerous promises were made to repeal the Bush tax cuts. A Canadian in the audience preached about how much Canada dislikes Bush, and how much Canada loves Kerry. She said Canada has been waiting for Democrats to "do something." She stated the Canada, and the rest of the world claim that a Bush reelection would be "dreadful." Have you had enough of these negative, senseless lies about Dubya? The Kerry campaign is planning its grassroots campaign by going from house to house, neighborhood to neighborhood. I say this to all readers: Tell any Kerry supporter who interrupts your day and comes to your house with their lies and negativity "Not in my neighborhood." Kerry boasts that he will repeal tax cuts, the same tax cuts that brought the country out of a recession that Dubya inherited from President Clinton. President Bush declared war on terror after the United States was attacked on 9-11, but Kerry's supporters call him "scandalous," "impeachable," and accuse Dubya of "crimes against humanity." Kerry supporters rely on the support of countries such as Canada and France, while President Bush is supported by hard working, flag waiving, good hearted Americans. Again, I ask all of Bush supporters to tell any Kerry supporter who barges into your house, "Not in my neighborhood." Tell Team Kerry that you love America and you are tired of his negative politics. |
