THE GREAT DEBATE Abortion has been called one of the most divisive issues in society today. I simply do not understand why this is even a debate. A debate typically involves a topic with two sides of relatively equal strength and merit. The abortion topic has two sides, yet one side of the debate overwhelmingly dominates the other, much like the Harlem Globetrotters have a "rivalry" with the Washington Generals or the Yankees have a "rivalry" with the Red Sox. In sports, there is not a rivalry if one team dominates the other team in a manner that the outcome seems almost predetermined. In abortion debates, this reigns true as well. There are so many reasons that abortion is wrong that it makes the "debate" for abortion seem laughable. Abortion became legal in the landslide Supreme Court decision in January of 1973, Roe. V. Wade. Norma McCorvey, "Roe," was bullied by Texas in lawyers and was made the "fall guy" if you will, for the pro-abortion movement. Having seen Ms. McCorvey speak, she is a simple woman who was used and abused by dishonest liberal attorneys 30+years ago. She has seen the light, and has come to realize that abortion is the genocide of societys most precious and innocent, babies. President Bush has showed great strength in the Pro-Life movement. The United States passed a partial-birth abortion ban that President Bush signed and made law. A partial birth abortion literally gave a woman the "right" to have an abortion up to the time of delivery. Until President Bush signed the ban on partial birth abortion, a woman could be in the middle of delivery, and as long as part of the baby, such as a foot, was still inside the woman, she could legally have the baby aborted. The fact that President Bush signed a law that made this practice illegal may seem like a no-brainer. This is a no-brainer. However, President Clinton vetoed the partial birth abortion ban numerous times during his presidency. Also, many elitist liberals are joining together to overturn this law. Many liberals who support the literal killing of babies, partial birth abortion, are actually wasting time and money to make this heinous practice of slaughtering babies legal. I feel that life begins at conception. Science proves that life begins at conception. Christian religions teach that life begins at conception. Many other religions state that life begins at conception. Common sense says that life begins at conception. Basically, life begins at conception. This seems like a no-brainer. At the risk of boring everyone with sixth grade health class lecture, we all know where babies come from, and how they are made. Or do we? It seems that liberals on the left and unfortunately some "Republicans" must have missed health class in junior high and high school. Liberals and those who support the killing of babies, claim that life does not begin until the baby is delivered. Members of the Pro Abortion movement claim that a fetus is simply a pile or mass of tissue until it is actually delivered, and then, and only then, "it" becomes a living person. Have you ever known a pregnant woman? Ever felt her belly? Ever felt that "mass of tissue" in her belly? I guess members of the Pro Abortion movement have never experienced this miracle. Ever seen an ultra sound? How about the new ultrasound that shows better images? Amazing, isn't it? The technological advancement that allows proud, anxious, happy parents to see their baby inside the womb must give nightmares to members of the liberal left baby killing club (Pro Abortion members). This "thing" that members of the liberal left baby killing club (LLBKC for short) now has a clear face, clear arms, legs, hands, and feet. This "thing" actually appears to be what it is, a living baby. The LLBKC always proclaims that it is a matter of "choice." The LLBC claims that those of us who love life and love babies are disturbing their "right" to "choose." They claim that males have no right to have an opinion in society's biggest, ugliest most barbaric acts, abortion. This "right of choice" is simply the legalized act of slaughtering babies. I wonder what would happen if Susan Sarandon (active member of the LLBKC) saw one of her friends on the ledge of a bridge getting ready to attempt suicide. Would she simply walk on by and not stop her from killing herself? Would she grab some of her other LLBKC members and march on that bridge to support her friends "choice." If I walked by, would she tell me that I am a male, and I do not know what it is like to have to make that kind of a decision? Would Ms. Sarandon support her friend's choice to end her own life, or would she only support her friends choice to kill an innocent baby? The LLBKC has had the past 30+ years to bask in their glory of the killing of innocent babies. Senator Kerry claims that he does not support abortion, but he has vowed to use abortion as a litmus test against all Federal judges, including Supreme Court Justice appointments. Senator Kerry has flip flopped on just about every issue imaginable, the war on terror, education, whether or not he owns an SUV, and now he has added abortion to his laundry list of flip flops. The LLBKC fears a re-election of President Bush, because of his support and love of life and babies. The LLBKC knows that Dubya will nominate and support Conservative, baby loving judges to the United States Supreme Court. November 2nd, we must support, and vote for all candidates, President Bush, U.S. Congressmen, State Congressmen, and every Pro-Life candidate. The only way to end the ugly reign of the liberal left baby killing club is to support and vote for Pro-Life candidates. |
