30 Ways to Stop Abortion Here are 30 things you can do to stop abortion 1) Vote prolife. 2) Write letters to your local newspaper, nation newspaper/magazine. Smaller, local newspapers may actually print EVERY letter submitted. If written thoughtfully, or perhaps SIGNED by a large group of people, the issue can get more attention. You can take a role in educating your community. 3)Start a prolife letter-writing campaign. Aim them at legislators, proposed laws. Letters written by one person are generally regarded to be the opinion of several hundred (if not thoughsands of others). 4)Write letters of support to longtime prolife activists. They do get worn down, they sacrifice much, and still have a long road ahead. 5) Establish a pregnacy counseling/support/abortion alternative organization in your community. Some communities have NO organizations of this type, while they most likely have abortion clinics. 6) Volunteer at Crisis Pregnancy Centers or other similiar organizations. If there is not a need to start a new group, work with existing ones. 7) Donate materials to your local CPC (or similiar group). Baby clothes, baby furniture, office equipment, professional services (Ad writer, doctor, etc). 8) Donate money to any prolife organization. Make a goal for the year, or monthly donation. Many groups will send you a monthly 'bill' if you choose that option. If you can only give $5 a month, it all helps. 9) Open your home to a pregnant woman. Giving women the options they need is crucial. It shows how much you care. 10) Become a prolife expert. Read books, watch videos, surf the web, join newsletters (email and snail mail). Knowing as much truth about the issue makes you strong and informed and POWERFUL in changing people's minds. Your friends, co-workers, family, and neighbors may all be confronted with facts and new ways of thinking they have never before encountered. 11) Distribute prolife literature and information. Do you own a business? Can you add a prolife brochure to your countertop? Can you put up a prolife poster in your office? Do you have a web-based business or just a personal website? How about adding links to other prolife sites? Or free banners? How about distributing literature in your neighborhood, or in your apartment/condo complex? 12) Place ads in newspapers, benches, billboards, magazines, websites. 13) Buy and donate books to your local library. 14) Wear prolife symbols and clothing. You can buy "precious feet", T-Shirts, and buttons and be a walking billboard! What a great way to open discussion to anyone you meet. Goes hand-in-hand with being a prolife expert. 15) Become a prolife speaker. You can speak at events, tv and radio debates, churches, and schools. 16) Get your church involved. Regardless of what denomination or religion you may be, if abortion is against your church doctrine, get fellow members involved! 17) Boycott antilife and antifamily corporations. Write them and tell them you will not buy their products because they give money to proabortion organizations and/or money to proabortion candidates. 18) Have school aged children? Encourage them to write reports, do oral presentations, write papers, give speeches on this topic. 19) Meet in person with your state/congressional representatives. I would add, make sure there are women there. 20) Initiate petitions for community prolife ballot measures. Write them, and get signatures. 21) Sign petitions for prolife ballot measures. 22) Participate in a "Life Chain" demonstration. These are peaceful, organized events where large groups of prolife people stand on public sidewalks and express prolife views. If need be, start one! 23) Participate in sidewalk counseling. This may be a last chance at stop a woman's abortion. Give her something she won't hear inside the clinic. 24) Information gather. You can handout questionnaires and legal referrals to women as they leave clinics. This may encourage women to take legal action against a clinic. You can also participate in more covert operations, like those of Operation Rescue, where pictures of babies remains are photographed. 25) Attend prochoice ralleys. Peacefully show your support for life. 26) Participate in a rescue operations. This is NONVIOLENT blocking of doorways, clinics, ect. 27) Picket abortion clinics, hospitals, and physicians who perform abortions. 28) Offer your professional services to prolife groups.
