CONSERVATISM We are in the midst of a tumultuous period in American history. We are in the beginning stages of what could be the complete unraveling of freedom, prosperity, capitalism, and democracy - the pillars of the society that our Founding Fathers forged some 230+ years ago. The same values and principles that millions of our brothers, sisters, parents, and grandparents offered as the ultimate sacrifice in defending. We have entered a rock-star era of political hype and hypocrisy that leads the mainstream media to turn a blind eye to the short comings and failures of the majority party. We have entered an era of American politics where the hippies and counter culture movement of the 1960s and 70s, whose rallying cry was "Power to the People," has now become "Power to the Almighty Government." We are in a political state of mind that says it is perfectly acceptable to punish success and prosperity, destroy the middle class, the working class, the upper class, in a fatally flawed effort to "spread the wealth" to the "community" of Americans who do not have the same goods and trinkets that honest, hard working families have earned. Welcome to America, 2009, where political leaders want to give more rights and freedoms to terrorists in Gitmo, while systematically plotting to eradicate the rights of gun owners and the unborn (children). I must qualify my previous statement by saying that it is unborn children that the American left does not have any feelings or emotions towards. Unborn buffalo, dogs, wildebeest, kittens, and all other creations of God must be protected from abortion, but an unborn child is simply a "choice." Sadly, unborn children are "choiced" to death to the tune of 4 million every year - clearly the number one of cause of death in America today. I have painted what may seem like a very grim, desolate picture of today's political landscape and societal perversions, but a brighter tomorrow still remains. Conservatism is the last beacon of liberty in America - the last line of defense against a strong willed, narrow minded, short sighted, race-baited, class war mongering, Godless, American Liberal Left. Please note that I did not say that Republicans would save the day against Democrats.
I said that Conservatism will win the unholy battle against angry Liberalism. For this is not a battle of R versus D. This is a battle that pits good versus evil, right versus wrong, Conservatism versus Liberalism. In a recent poll, conducted by a drive-by, mainstream news source, results revealed the 40% of Americans are Conservative and 19% are Liberal. This being said, 1/5th of the population is scheming to destroy America, and trample on the very values that 80% of Americans share. Conservatism wins wars, lowers taxes, defends freedom, protects religion, upholds the Constitution, spreads Democracy, and upholds the very traditional values that an overwhelming majority of Americans share. If it were not for Conservatives on both sides of the political aisle, we would have runaway inflation, spending, taxation, and a complete destruction of the fabric of our society. If it were not for the brave and honorable Conservatives on both sides of the aisle, the current administration would have unfettered political power to force socialized health care, cap and tax, and card check, as well as the stripping away of the rights of gun owners, increased/uninterrupted access to abortion at any time, any place, for any reason, and the complete removal of the presence of God from society. These are all goals of "Progressive" Liberals. Progressive Liberalism wants to be your God, your Messiah, and your savior. Progressives view God (whether it be Jesus, Allah, or anyone else) as competition. They want to be your health care provider, your bank, your car manufacturer. They want to control energy, the financial system, and education. They want to decide if you live or breathe. Progressive Liberals believe that they are the beginning and the end - the Alpha and the Omega. Conservatism is rooted in faith in our creator, personal responsibility, and the ability to succeed, fail, and then succeed again. Conservatism believes in free markets, free people, freedom through prosperity, and peace through strength. Conservatism believes our Savior has given us certain rights that cannot, should not, and must not be taken away by the government. Conservatism believes in true separation of Church and State - that the State must not prevent or hinder individuals from exercising their religious freedom. Conservatism understands that a baby is a precious gift from God, and respects, protects, and defends the miracle of life. Conservatism defends the traditional values that our country was founded on, believes in right versus wrong, and knows that in the end, our Creator will triumph in glory over evil. We are in the crossroads of a critical juncture in the grand history of our great nation. This is a pivotal moment in American history that will ultimately determine the success or extinction of the greatest experiment in the history of the world- Democracy, capitalism, and freedom. This is a battle that pits not Republicans versus Democrats, but Conservatism versus Liberalism - good versus evil - right versus wrong. zm 7/23/2009 |
