COUNTRY RULES:
I Love My Country (Music too!)

Country music is the hands down best genre of all types of music. First of all, country music can be listened to by everyone from 1 to 100. Parents do not have to worry about Parental Advisory labels, or over use of sex and vulgarity. Country music is actually music. Most of the songs have meaning. Country music is hated by Hollywood because of the emphasis on God, country, and family that country music often focuses on. These are the very reasons why country music is the best. A couple of years ago, when the Dixie Chicks went overseas and insulted our President and our military, country music fans used their Freedom of Speech to drive the Chicks out of country music. In the future months, the Chicks denounced country music because the country music community did not represent their values (or lack there of). If you attended any rallies for President Bush last year, you heard the patriotic tunes of Brooks and Dunn, George Strait (one of my two favorite George’s from Texas), Sara Evans, Toby Keith, and other chart toppers. While rap music is filled with great beats and sounds, and there are some quality rappers (I do actually like some of Jay Z’s music), a majority of rap music is focused on sex, drugs, violence, and crime. Rap music is very popular among the youth of America, but parents should be responsible when allowing their children to listen to music, no matter what the genre is. Country music is truly the purest music with great themes, melodies, lyrics, and the crying of a steel guitar.
