Open Letter re: Socialized Medicine -- Guests, and Friends of XEKE.com, Patrick & Marissa McGloneThe columns have been slow in coming from us here at XEKE.com, and for our regular readers, we apologize. Life is moving on. Zach's had his hands full with two little ones and an upcoming election, and family and work have been busy for Ryan, as well.
It is also disheartening to feel completely hopeless about the direction of the country under Barack Obama's
leadershiprule. In less than 200 days, he's spent more money (money that we don't have) than all past presidents combined (including billions to ACORN to cement his rule), he's nationalized the domestic auto industry (while claiming he doesn't want to run it), he's set the precedent of a president firing a private company's CEO, he's apologized to the world for a litany of things that require no apology, he's demonstrated nothing more than weakness to the world during his foreign tours, he's become a master at saying one thing and the doing the exact opposite, he's nominated a racist judicial-lightweight to the Supreme Court, and he's subverted the U.S. Constitution and the checks and balances intended therein by appointing czar after czar to manage particular sectors of American society with no congressional oversight (not that this congress would care, but the precedent has been set). His appointments are ivory tower busy-bodies with little real world experience (Toxic Tim of the Treasury... shoot, even Joe Biden). The micromanaging of the U.S. economy is setting us back, and the next president, if he has any shred of Conservatism in him, will have to spend his first 2 years simply undoing the damage that Obama has done to the private sector. Is it clear how we at XEKE.com feel about the current goings-on? Because we have a worldview that goes beyond an earthly grave, we're not hopeless about life in the long-term, but we're pretty wary about America in the short-run. I encourage you to listen to the Conservative minds on AM, read Conservative publications, and attend Tea Parties. The weapon required to win back America is your mind. Arm it.
The next column that will appear hear will likely be a review of Atlas Shrugged. If you have not read this novel, pick up a copy and get into it. The author was a prophet, and her story has never been more relevant.
